I Read Indie: A Goal for 2013

This past year, I dove into the self-publishing (aka indie) market with two of my paranormal manuscripts, Eternally Yours and Chasing Adonis. As part of that commitment, I began reading other self-published works to see what the market had to offer.
What I found was a mixed bag, not unlike what you find in the traditional NY publishing world. There were some stellar works that made me fall in love with the author's world, characters, or prose. Others just didn't resonate with me for no other reason than personal taste. The hardest for me to understand, though, were the great stories that were poorly edited (or not edited at all).
Each book I read, no matter what vehicle published it, were reviewed on my Goodreads page and on Amazon.
For 2013, I want to continue my reading adventure, and I want you to join me. Have you self-published something? Want an honest review? Tell me about your book! If it interests me, I just might buy it and give it a try.

A few caveats:

1. Do not offer your book to me for free in exchange for a review. If I'm interested in a story, I will purchase it. (If it's available for free download as part of a promotion, I *might* take advantage, but then again, I might not.)

2. If your book has not been edited by someone other than you (regardless of your stellar grammar and punctuation skills), don't tell me about it. I'm not only an author, I'm a freelance editor. When I see "lightening" instead of "lightning," or a dozen exclamation points in the first three pages, I don't hold back my disdain. Being a professional means you know better than to bilk the public into purchasing a shoddy product.

3. If you can't stand to hear anything negative about your precious baby, don't tell me about it. Be confident, but be aware, I am an opinionated person. I may love your work, I may not. If you're hoping I'm going to give you a glowing five-star review and you can't bear to accept anything less, this challenge is not for you.

4. I'm a voracious reader and read across genres so don't think I will only read romance. Give me a great story, whether it's sci-fi, mystery, or even non-fiction, and I'm a happy girl.

5. This is not a review exchange. No one has to feel pressured to read my books because I've read yours. I love finding new authors and found several in 2012. You might be my new discovery in 2013.

6. I'm not a reviewer. This isn't about anything more than helping other indies get reviews from a reader. I know how hard that can be.

Interested? Think you can entertain me for a few days? Post your blurb (as clean as the manuscript) and a purchase link for Amazon in the comments here. If I'm intrigued, I might choose your work. The rest will be up to me.
