It's Time for Basics Bootcamp


Dunes & Dreams RWA Chapter 215 (from Eastern Long Island) present their June 2010 Online Workshop.

Cost: $10 D&D members, $25 all others. Payable in US funds only.

June 1 through June 28:

Deciding to write is the easy part. But without the proper training, a new recruit can soon find him/herself in the weeds.

“Ten-hut! Fall in, cadets, for Basics Bootcamp!”

Over four weeks, we’ll strengthen your writing skills so you can safely maneuver the obstacle course of romance writing. Master the rules and hone your writing chops so your story can be all that it can be.

Week I will focus on the strategies of GMC, POV, and characterization.

In Week II, we’ll flex your grammar, spelling, and punctuation muscles.

By Week III, we’ll commence plotting, research, and backstory.

Finally in Week IV, you’ll be tough enough to show off your new writing guns. Each registrant will have the opportunity to receive an in-depth personalized critique of one writing submission (maximum: 15 page length with standard formatting.)

About the Presenter: Gina Ardito is multi-published in hardcover, paperback, and electronic formats. She has more than ten years experience in writing, mentoring, and critiquing. Known by some associates as the “contest judge slut,” Gina has judged the RITAs, the Golden Heart, and too many local RWA chapter contests to list. Registration deadline is May 31st.

PLACE: Dunes & Dreams RWA FORUM (Not a Yahoo loop)

Registrants will receive a login password to the workshop forum several days before the workshop begins to allow ample time to become familiar with the forum or to notify the coordinators if you have trouble logging in.

COST: $10 Dunes & Dreams RWA Members/ $25 all others (US funds only – Paypal or checks)

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: No registration fees will be refunded. All payments for a workshop must be received by the registration cut off date. Payments received after the cut-off date can be applied to a future workshop of the Applicant's' choosing.
If a workshop is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as instructor inability to teach class, registration fees will be applied to a future workshop of the applicant's choosing.
